Founder Stuart D. Adams, Esq.

Since 1990, Stuart has specialized in the representation of law enforcement and fire personnel. He has negotiated hundreds of collective bargaining agreements and provides legal advice to the Boards of Directors of the Safety organizations he represents. He has represented over one hundred Public Safety organizations throughout California.

He has extensive criminal defense experience for a wide variety of criminal charges, such as assault under color of authority, rape, domestic violence, computer crimes, embezzlement, etc.

He also has significant litigation experience, including, but not limited to, experience with Mandatory Injunctions under the Public Safety Officers’ and Firefighters’ Procedural Bill of Rights, Writs of Mandate, and Appellate cases.

He has spent thousands of hours defending clients in internal affairs investigations by employers into allegations of misconduct and has handled hundreds of disciplinary appeal hearings. He has also handled over two hundred critical incidents, such as deaths in custody, traffic collisions, and officer-involved shootings.

Stuart graduated from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, with a Bachelor of Arts in English. He returned to Southern California to attend law school at the University of San Diego. He received his law degree and was admitted to the California State Bar in 1989.
